This encyclopaedic study is phased into two most significant and historic diversions having deep bearing on varied kinds of events which moulded the destiny of millions of people of Indian subcontinents. These events having complete political overtones, become a glaring phenomenon with the downfall of the Mughal Empire almost with the commencement of the 18th century. The present second lot of ten volumes covers the following themes: Lord Wellesley and Policy; Marathas and their Administration; Emergence of Maharaja Ranjit Singh; British Policy of Intervention and Expansion; Lord William Bentinck and Metcalfe: Era of Reforms; Raja Rammohan Roy: The Reformer; Ranjit Singh: Administration and British Policy; History of Anglo-Sikh Wars; Munity and Its Aftermath etc. The multi-volumes study would take up several themes, viz. political, socio-economic, religion constitutional, educational, press, revolutionaries, local pioneers, legislation, revenues and judicial policy, on-going process of reaction etc. prestigious project is arranged, managed and looked after by a team of most dedicated and long experienced scholars of modern Indian History.

Om Prakash obtained M.A. (History) from University of Delhi. He was assocaited with library profession for more than two decades. A prolific writer, he has authored many outstanding books in his area of specialisation. His some books won him wide acclaim.
