It is existential because it deals with the nature of how these men choose to live their lives, and though it does not end well for most of them, it is comedic because it does have a happy ending. One of the men's son is raised by his selfless father who attempts to teach him the trade of carpentry. Though he never does get the job done, he instead finds love.

This novel began as a twelve-page short story for a writing class and was expounded upon until it was the length of this novel. I live in beautiful Bayville New Jersey with my family.
