Bernard J. Shapiro earned degrees in political science, communication, and public policy from the University of California at Berkeley. An advocate for Israel for more than fifty years, he is the founder and chairman of the Freeman Center for Strategic Studies and editor of The Maccabean Online, Freemanlist & Freeman Blog. Shapiro lives in Texas and travels to Israel frequently for research.
