The story opens quite a while into the Trojan War. A prince of the Trojans and the son of the Trojan lord Priam, Troilus is charmed by Cressida, a charismatic local girl. During the celebration, Ulysses carries Troilus to Cressida's tent to show him as she flirts with Diomedes and consents to sleep with him. Troilus is heartbroken. He illuminates them that he intends to pass every one of his numerous sicknesses to the crowd in his will, and they will all before long endure and bite the dust like him.
