She has covered stories in 41 countries, including warzones where she earned a Bronze Star Medal, Air Force Commendation with Valor, and Air Medal for heroic actions under fire. Her photos have appeared in print and television media, including Time magazine, The New York Times, CNN, BBC, USA Today, and Harvard Business Review. She has shared her harrowing experiences with millions through her appearances on the "Oprah Winfrey Show," "PBS NewsHour," "NBC Nightly News," and CNN. Pearsall currently works as a freelance photographer and is the owner of the Charleston Center for Photography.
