Robert Pickering is a software engineer and published technical author. As a Microsoft MVP, he is acknowledged as one of the leading experts in F#, a technology spearheading Microsoft's campaign to make multi-thread programming easier, and Pickering has been invited to speak at prestigious events such as Microsoft TechEd, JAOO, and TechDays and has also appeared on channel9.msdn.com. In his 9 year career he has participated in a wide range of projects building large scale systems on the Microsoft .NET platform. He has experience in both consulting and working as an engineer for a software house.
