The book contains information about the prevalence of DNA and antibody for Bovine Herpes Virus -1infection among cattle by using I-ELISA test and gI gene specific PCR. The prevalence in different age group breeds and sex of cattle maintained in an organized and an un-organized farms were tested for BHV-1 infection. Sample wise comparisons between I-ELISA and gI gene PCR was carried out. The serum-milk I-ELISA and serum-milk gI gene PCR was assessed for their sensitivity and specificity.
