Edmund Acevedo, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Mississippi, where he teaches exercise testing and prescription and serves as director of the Applied Physiology Laboratory. Michael Starks is a PhD, candidate in exercise science and a graduate research and teaching assistant at the University of Mississippi. He holds a master's degree in exercise science from the University of Memphis, where he formerly served as health and fitness director of the Employee Wellness Unit.
