A case study of capability evolution in the German Armed Forces is interpreted against the backdrop of a strategy as process and practice lens, thus, allowing to propose the concept of meso-level dynamic capabilities without falling prey to the capability rigidity paradox.

The primary research area of Florian Andresen is located at the intersection between organization and management theory and strategy-as-practice. He is interested in how local practices evoke global organizational phenomena. The author is currently employed as a project officer at the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management at the Helmut-Schmidt-University. In this capacity, the Author investigates organizational adaptation and dynamic capabilities in the German Federal Armed Forces as part of a mandated research project.
