Die Autorin hat an der Universität Zürich in Psychologie und Philosophie promoviert und begann im Jahre 1936 mit ihrer eigenen analytischen Praxis unter der Supervision von C.G. Jung. Während vieler Jahre war sie wesentlich an der Leitung des C.G. Jung-lnstitutes beteiligt, wo sie auch heute noch neben ihrer praktischen psychologischen Tätigkeit als Lehranalytikerin wirkt. Sie ist die Verfasserin des Standardwerkes 'Von Freud zu Jung'.
