The objective of this book is to design a new adaptive procedure for tuning of PID controllers,which is based on the combination of the concept of Fuzzy set point weight tuning method and alternative structure of PID controller.The parameters of PID updated depending upon the error and its time derivative, according to a fuzzy inference system based onstep input.The controller is designed based on the empirical model of the system which is estimated by using System Identification technique, the procedure of estimation of the model is done by System Identification Toolbox in MATLAB.A Single Board Heater System (SBSH) is the temperature control process with fan and heater. The designed model is tested on SBHS and simulated in LabVIEW.In this book , the proposed technique has shown the improvement in the dynamical characteristics of the system such as rise time, settling time and overshoot andability to track any parameter change and have a fast recovery of the outputresponse duringdisturbance period.
