The author has intensively worked among Irula Tribes and collected interview schedules from 510 Irula tribes at 36 hamlets/villages for this study. It is a pioneering research work among the Indigenous People in India. The author has chosen to study the "Right to Life" and its violation for Irula Tribes In detail. Right to life is the most precious, sacrosanct, Inalienable and fundamental of all the fundamental rights of human. This book effectively covers the important topic of right to life, especially on right to live with dignity and equality, right to own and control land and its natural resources, right to just wages, right to housing and right to health of Indigenous people, particularly, the Irula Tribe.

Victor, Prem Sam PonniahDr. V. Prem Sam Ponniah is working as Assistant Professor in the School of Law, Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. He was awarded "Master of Human Rights Law" degree by the Pondicherry University, India. His work on "Human Rights of Scheduled Tribes with reference to Irula Tribes- A Study" fetched him Ph.D degree from the University of Madras, India.
