Autoren-Porträt von April Lindner
April Lindner on her debut novel, Jane: Jane Eyre has been my favorite novel since I first read it in high school. I reread it every so often and teach it in literature classes, and it never gets old for me...The idea of putting a shy, self-contained and serious young woman together with a world-famous rock star was just irresistible to me. The book practically wrote itself; I had more fun working on it than on anything else I've ever written.April Lindner is an associate professor of English at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Her poetry collection, Skin, received the Walt McDonald First Book Prize and her poems have been featured in many anthologies and textbooks. She holds an MFA in writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Cincinnati. Jane is her first novel.
