This book, amply illustrated with professional photographs taken by the author, provides the photographer with streamlined instruction so that the beginner - to intermediate level Photoshop Elements user can take simple steps to get professional results. The Kelby book doesn't cover important topics that our book focusses on, such as printing or layers, and instead covers non-essential techniques, such as eliminating wrinkles and double chins and reshaping noses. The Aaland title is aimed at the beginner-level Photoshop Elements user, yet core topics such as using tools and managing layers are covered in a brief appendix; the majority of the book is devoted to content that isn't relevant to the book's audience. Like the Kelby book, Dave Huss's title delves into topics of little relevance to the beginner - such as "digital plastic surgery."
