Good preventive maintenance goes a long way towards ensuring high machine availability and low repair costs. This book shows how systematic management of hydraulic fluid makes the difference, especially in today's high-performance injection moulding machines. The author is an acknowledged expert in this field and his recommendations carry the weight of many years'experience.
Written for the people on the shop floor who have to contend with day-to-day problems, this book covers three important topics: fluid management, care of cooling water and dust filters. Worst case examples will alert readers to potential trouble. The author explains what to look for and how to break away from the problem of"no time for preventive maintenance because of time already lost on repairs".
The book also argues convincingly that hydraulic oil care and filtration are factors in technical innovation. It is essential reading, not only for injection moulders, but for anyone else using hydraulic systems on a daily basis.
