Peter Rock wurde 1967 in Salt Lake City geboren. Nach dem Studium in Yale arbeitete er als Rancher und Museumswärter, unterrichtete Englische Literatur in Yale und an der University of Pennsylvania und lebt heute mit Frau und Töchtern in Portland, Oregon.
