SARAH CARTER is a Lecturer in Early Modern literature and has taught at several universities in the UK, most recently at the University of Hull and the University of Sheffield, UK. She researches the reception of Ovid and gender, and has published articles in this area as well as educational guides to Shakespeare's plays.
