Autoren-Porträt von Rebecca Jester, Julie Santy, Jean Rogers
Rebecca Jester Professor Jester completed the orthopaedic nursing certificate in 1982 prior to undertaking her general nurse training. She has gained nearly 30 years experience in trauma and orthopaedic nursing in the UK and Sweden. Rebecca completed her PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Birmingham in 2001 supported by a national Smith and Nephew Fellowship. Her PhD and subsequent research has focused on the development and evaluation of trauma and orthopaedic services and interventions. Rebecca was awarded a personal chair in Orthopaedic Nursing in 2008 by Keele University. Her current post is Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Keele University and part time advanced nurse practitioner in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Dudley Group of Hospitals, West Midlands. She is on the editorial board for the International Journal of Trauma and Orthopaedic Nursing.
