Autoren-Porträt von Gopalakrishnan Srinivasan, Debiprosad Roy Mahapatra, Abir Chakraborty
The lead author of this book, Prof. S. Gopalakrishnan, currently an Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, has a decade of experience in applying wave based techniques for solving various structural engineering related problems. He has undertaken major research in this area and has executed them successfully. He is considered one of the experts in the field and is one of the few people responsible for popularizing the use of SFEM through his research publications and presentations. His contribution to this area has attracted international recognition. He is currently the editorial board member of three prime journals in Computation Mechanics. He has published over 90 refereed research papers in international journals and conferences. He has guided 2 Ph.D. and 15 Masters Thesis. This book is the outcome of his research performed by him in the last four years. The other authors, Dr. Roy Mahapatra, and Dr. A Chakraborty, worked in the area of wave propagation and structural health monitoring for obtaining their Ph.Ds. They have immense understanding of the wave phenomenon and have published their work extensively. Together, they have about 40 international journal publications between them.
