Rezension zu „The Professionals' Guide to Publishing “
"There's no substitute for a thorough understanding of the pressures on one's clients - and this book certainly provides that. Which is why I shall be making copies available to many of the people working in our business who are in day-to-day contact with publishers and customers." Sheila Bounford 20110201 "This title is a plain-speaking guide to the business of what goes into making and selling a book for those just starting out in publishing. The book goes a long way to fill in those crucial gaps in knowledge for those in their first job in publishing, or still trying to get to grips with who does what and why." Rebecca Haworth 20110201 "This handbook allows the readers to become familiar with legal, taxation, and employment regulations, and how to avoid bureaucracy in the EU. A practical source, the handbook discusses some of the key issues that need to be addressed when drawing up a business plan for operation in a new EU market." Abstracts of Public Administration, Development and Environment 20110201 "This clear, detailed, and soberly factual account of the ins and outs of book publishing as a business is aimed, as the title makes clear, at would-be-publishers...But much of its contents will be of equal interest to aspiring or practising writers...The guide's authors are reasonably up-front about a central question of equal interest to writers and publishers alike: how to tell in advance whether a book will sell or not." The Self Publishing Magazine 20110401
