Jeri Johnson is Peter Thompson Fellow and Tutor in English at Exeter College, Oxford, and Associate Professor of English at the University of Oxford. She came to England from America in 1978 and worked at Oxford with Richard Ellman, who inspired her interest in, and love of, Joyce.
