Elvis Costello, geboren 1954 in London als Declan Patrick MacManus, gehört zu den größten und vielseitigsten Musikern der Popgeschichte. Er ist Grammy-Gewinner und wurde in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Der produktive Songschreiber und Autor kritischer Liedtexte förderte als Produzent Musiker und Bands diverser Genres, darunter "The Pogues". Heute lebt Costello zusammen mit der Jazzmusikerin Diana Krall, mit der er seit 2003 verheiratet ist, und den 2006 geborenen Zwillingen, in New York und Vancouver.
