Jerry I. Porras is a professor at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Lane Professor Emeritus of Organizational Behavior and Change. With James Collins, he coauthored the worldwide best-seller Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies.
Stewart Emery has coached more than 12,000 people over the past 30 years. As leader of Belvedere Consultants, he has served clients ranging from Cadence Design Systems to KQED and led the team that developed the MasterCard "Priceless" campaign.
Mark Thompson is an executive coach and producer of leadership programs with more than two decades of experience as a senior executive, board member, management coach, producer, and investor. He served as Chief Communications Officer at Charles Schwab and was honored by Forbes as one of America's leading venture investors
Sandra K. Allgeier, SPHR, is a consultant, trainer/facilitator, and coach who helps organizations maximize their human resource potential. Before launching her consulting business in 2000, she had 25+ years' experience in HR, rising to SVP, HR at a major provider of assisted living services, with responsibility for over 7000 employees. She recently authored The Personal Credibility Factor and contributed to the book Conversations on Success, which also featured Stephen Covey and Dr. Denis Waitley.
Alan Lurie, author of Five Minutes on Monday, is currently a Managing Director at Grubb & Ellis, a national real estate service firm, following a twenty-five year career as a licensed architect. He is also a non-denominational ordained Rabbi. This combination of meeting the demands of the business world while attending to the needs of the spirit gives Alan unique insight into the chaotic world we live in.
Dean A. Shepherd is Randall L. Tobias Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Shepherd investigates the decision making involved in leveraging cognitive and other resources to act on entrepreneurial opportunities. He also researches the processes of learning from experimentation and failure to achieve higher individual and organizational performance. He has authored or edited eight research books on entrepreneurship and strategy. His most recent book is From Lemons to Lemonade
T.J. (Terry) Fadem, author of The Art of Asking, is a veteran manager with 25 years of experience ranging from supervising steel workers and managing in a major corporation to working with start-up companies. His business venture teams have been profiled in books and periodicals, and he speaks and consults frequently on strategic management issues. He is currently Managing Director, Corporate Alliances at the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and a member of the Core Team of the Mack Center for Technological Innovation at The Wharton School.
Dr. Kevin Elko is a nationally-renowned performance consultant and motivational speaker. He has consulted with dozens of professional and collegiate athletic teams, including LSU, Miami, Nebraska, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Dallas Cowboys. He has also worked with companies including Travelers Insurance, Smith Kline Beecham, Prudential Securities, and Tyson Foods. In 2005, he was the top-rated speaker at the Million Dollar Roundtable, a meeting of the insurance industry's highest achievers. His books include Nerves of Steel and Winning the NFL Way. He holds a Doctorate in Education with emphasis in Sport and Counseling.
Jon M. Huntsman is chairman and founder of Huntsman Corporation. He started the firm with his brother Blaine in 1970. By 2000, it had become the world's largest privately held chemical company and America's biggest family owned and operated business, with more than $12 billion in annual revenues before going public in early 2005. He was a special assistant to the president in the Nixon White House, was the first American to own controlling interest of a business in the former Soviet Union, and is the chairman of the Board of Overseers for Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, his alma mater. Mr. Huntsman also served on the boards of numerous major public corporations and organizations, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the American Red Cross. The Huntsman businesses fund the foundation that is the primary underwriter for the Huntsman Cancer Institute, a leader in the prevention, early diagnosis, and humane treatment of cancer.
