It follows her life from Georgia to Michigan and traces her transformation as she seeks therapy; participates in a women's support group; and strengthens her relationship with God. The story reveals Isabelle's mental anguish in finding out that she had created ground zero for the exploitation of her own daughters at the hands of a dangerous pedophile.

She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State University and a certificate in publishing from the University of Denver Publishing Institute. She also possesses a master's degree from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and a post-graduate certificate in gerontology from Wayne State University Institute of Gerontology.
