Canghai Sangtian, the hankow customs building as one of the modern architectures in our country's customs, has witnessed the rise and fall of the city and also recorded the glory and humiliation of Wuhan in the past hundred years, which is an important historical witness to the modernization of Wuhan. In order to remember the history, show the twists and turns of Wuhan's modernization and promote the protection of Wuhan historic scenery blocks, in 2010, Wuhan Municipal Committee and municipal government decided to "e;construct the museum supported by the hankow customs"e;, held relevant restored exhibition and basic exhibition of Hankow Tomomune - Modernization Course of Wuhan, and at the same time, launched the collection of cultural relics towards society. With the strong support from all sectors of society, the Hankow Customs Museum has collected over 3,000 pieces of cultural relics that reflect the history of modern customs and concessions and the changes of modern social life in Wuhan, which cover several categories including metal, miscellaneous, porcelain and paper relics. In the process of gazing and exploring these relics, we seem to travel through time and space and feel the life changes of vicissitudes among the usual lanes of the old hankow for more than a hundred years.
