I checked into my hotel late that night, thinking I was going into the city to see a show, but after a long lonely day of driving, and getting lost on the busy streets, I didn't really think I had it in me to enjoy anything.

I stepped into my room, hating how alone I felt, and decided to warm myself a bit with some alone time in the shower, fantasizing about the aforementioned desk clerk, wondering what it was like to feel loved the way I so badly desired to, and giving up on the prospect of making it out to my event.

Immediately afterward I crawled into bed, trying to relax, watching TV, and staring out at the full moon above the empty lot of the hotel, feeling strangely mesmerized by it.

And that's when I heard the scratching at my door... I went over to investigate, not sure what the sound could possibly be at this hour of night and with my assumed level of isolation, but nothing registered as being there when I peered through the peep hole.

Foolishly, I opened the door, and something horrible came bursting into the room.

A werewolf.

Instantly I fell to the floor, feeling as though my swift death was assured, cowering as the beast's jaws trembled with fury, his teeth bared, and my life feeling as though it was about to come to a close.

But it might just turn out that the creature before me had a very different idea of devouring me in mind...
