"Fables of a Deep Fried Southerner", is a book of six short stories. This is a book , of lighthearted short stories to please the minds of all who read them. "The Obedient Surf" is a story of faith in God and the rewards given to the faithful. Most of the stories have a "moral statement" ending the story.
