Teresa DeMars is an author, illustrator, and publisher. As a mother of two children, one of which was diagnosed with autism in 2008, DeMars wondered how she would explain the diagnosis to her son and his younger sister. As a result she was inspired to write and illustrate her first book, ASD and Me: Learning about High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder.In addition to autism advocacy, DeMars enjoys traveling on back country roads, exploring small towns, and learning about all things history. She lives with her husband, two children, and two curious cats in Faribault Minnesota.
