Nachdem Beth Kendrick mit Berner Sennenhunden aufgewachsen war, verliebte sie sich in einen verwahrlosten Streuner, einen Terrier namens Murphy, und hat seitdem ein großes Herz für Fundhunde. Sie lebt mit ihrer Familie und zwei ausgelassenen Promenadenmischungen mit rotem Fell in Arizona. Obwohl sie drei Staubsauger besitzt, läuft sie ständig mit Hundehaaren an den Kleidern herum.
