After the braves are gone, Slocum learns that the wagoner and his precious cargo are headed for the same town: Deadfall.
When the Apaches return in the night, Slocum is ready for them. Obadiah recognizes one of their attackers-a man who works for Mordecai Wisner, the same man who hired Slocum to transport the horses. And when Obadiah mentions that Wisner's responsible for a number of graves outside of Deadfall, Slocum knows he better watch his back when he delivers his cargo-and hope he doesn't join ranks with the dead…
