This fantastic collection of fairy tales comprises a range of tales, containing seven from Brothers Grimm, five from Madame d'Aulnoy, three from the Arabian Nights, and four Norwegian fairy tales. Notable stories include: "e;The Bronze Ring"e;, "e;Prince Hyacinth and the Dear Little Princess"e;, and "e;East of the Sun and West of the Moon"e;. Andrew Lang (31 March 1844 - 20 July 1912) was a Scottish poet, novelist, literary critic, and contributor to the field of anthropology. He is best known as a collector of folk and fairy tales. The Andrew Lang lectures at the University of St Andrews are named after him. Other notable works by this author include: "e;The Ballads and Lyrics of Old France"e; (1872), "e;The Folklore of France"e; (1878), and "e;Custom and Myth"e; (1884). Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.
