The aim of the paper is to describe and explain patterns of social capital measured through social trust in different regions of Uganda. Therefore the paper makes use of three different data sources World Values Survey, Afrobarometer and ACLED and techniques from Geo Information Systems. Results show that indeed social conflict diminishes levels of trust. Most puzzling, areas affected by governments forces are the most mistrusting regions while those affected by rebel forces have lower values too.
