Produktinformationen zu „Descriptive and Love Poems (ePub)“
This is a collection of authentic love poems and descriptive poems, amongst other, by Bernard Harold Curgenven. It contains both fiction and non fiction, and may therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive readers. Many of these poems display mood swings and personal opinions of great intellect. As usual humorous poetry has been included. The total word count, which includes a final note, but excludes this blurb, is eleven thousand, and eighty nine words. Twelve beautiful images are included in this book for your leisure! Here is an example and simple explanation of the contents:
Colours:
Beautiful and strange!
The peace of silent singing,
The violent ringing of music
So smooth and gentle,
Caressing motionless shadows
Beyond the dark,
Beyond the light!
Differences of opinion overpowered
By recent spiritual balance of power;
Spirit be quicker than mind,
Stealing more than the rightful share:
Finally equal,
Yet even now each mind in thought
Bears a colour of choice:
Peaceful, beautiful and strange, amongst the stars,
Is heaven of blackness!
Black man’s boat drifts
Without need of oars!
Peaceful, beautiful and strange, in the forest,
Is heaven of green?
Green man’s spices and olives
Can be seen!
Peaceful, beautiful and strange, in the sky,
Blue man from the ozone wall does pry.
Peaceful, beautiful and strange, in the cloud,
White man’s parlour thunders aloud.
Peaceful, beautiful and strange, upon desert sand,
Brown man haunts the living land.
Peaceful, beautiful and strange, on the sun,
Yellow man has fun.
Spirits are at their best,
When minds choose their place of rest!
Differences of opinion overpowered
By recent spiritual balance of power;
Spirit be quicker than mind,
Stealing more than the rightful share:
Finally equal, yet even now each mind in thought
Bears a colour of choice!
A simplified explanation can be given in a few words: people of different racial origins can live in harmony. Each nation has good and bad. Each individual has a personality which cannot be changed, yet attitudes can be altered.
There are more complicated poems that require deeper thought, and there are those like Hanker Hearsay, on the first page, which include English words that are either forgotten, or no longer used on a daily bases. You may require the assistance of an English dictionary!
In short, you will love this book, and beg for more from the same author. At this price this is a bargain, and believe me, there are many to come! Thank you for your support!
