This all started when a cute guy asked me for my number, just before I broke a heel trying to make a hysterical dash to catch my train. In a rush, I gave him my number and forgot about him immediately after. I had a train to catch. He texted me within a few days of our encounter confessing that he had a fantasy that he couldn't get out of his head ever since the day we bumped into one another. Fast-forward a few week nights later. I had insomnia. I'd been ignoring the cute guy's texts, but he had not been deterred him. Every few days, he'd try to initiate a naughty conversation with me. He texted. I ignored him. He'd wait a few days, then try again. Like I said, this particular night, I had a bout of insomnia while staring up at my bedroom ceiling. With nothing else to do, I decided to text him back and troll him for the heck of it.

Before I knew it, I was drenched in sweat (and other things), while my feet were firmly latched to my headboard. My head spun because I couldn't believe the position I was in, nor what I had done to get there. Astonished at my own actions, I continued texting the cute guy with desperate hopes of going a second round.

I am not joking when I say that this was the catalyst to my abrupt career change. I joined the literary community at the cute guy's encouragement. Not the Shakespearean bunch.
