My soul feels weak and my
Brain cant hold my pain
I use my pen to explain
In my eye you can see
The tears falling like rain
Help me Lord,
Everyone refuse to listen
Judgment was swift
More than my breath

Autoren-Porträt von Villy Satine
My name is Vilsoir Satine also known as Villy. I was born in June 13, 1989 in Haiti, La Gonave. My mother left me when I was a week old and my father left me one month after my birth. I grew up with my older brother Yvon Satine and two cousins Josias Presna and Adrenne Presna. I moved back and forth in the capital city, Port-au-Prince and La Gonave because of financial problems. I grew up almost by myself in a two bedroom apartment because my cousins and older brother was barely there for me. And that’s when I begin to write poetries. Poetries were and still are the only way I can express myself. I don’t have any friends or close relatives. I kept all my pain locked down inside of me because I don’t have anyone to share what I’m going through. My godmother introduced me to my mother when I was 14 and when I turned 16 years. I moved to the United States of America in 2006. I started my whole life over again. I went back to middle school instead of college because I couldn’t speak English. I speak French and Creole. I graduated high school in 2010 in Avon Park High School. I published my first poem when I was in high school for Haiti earthquake. I went to culinary art school, and I dropped out four months before I graduated. I moved to Gainesville to start a new life and pursuing my degree in Journalism. World Poetry Movement published one poem, “Loving you” and another with Great Poets Across America, “How can…?” For National Poetry Month. I’m working on my next two books, “All Flowers Are Not Rose” and “The Crying Rose”
