Born and raised in Orlando, Fl, Shelby realized she had an interest in writing at the age of eight. Now a gradauteof the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, Shelby has been able to
use her experiences to give life and voice to matters prevelant within the community and world. She has
competed in national and international competitions such as College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational, Southern
Fried and Brave New Voices while earning many local slam titles. She writes to mend the broken and heal the
world with her words.
