Produktinformationen zu „LOBO (PDF)“
Liberated from a band of Cheyenne who had annihilated his family on their way to Oregon, a young Ohio farm boy is transported to England by a visiting nobleman to be educated and live with the aristocracy. Fate forces him to return to America. He becomes a fencing master in New Orleans, acquires a beautiful Creole paramour, and survives the Civil War to become the guiding hand of law enforcement in the chaotic Reconstruction Era. But, even now, he and his mistress must make changes as the tumultuous 19th century continues.
William survives the massacre of his family on the way to Oregon, and lives through a period of Indian life. Liberated by an expeditionary force, he is taken to England by a visiting nobleman accompanying the force. Here, he is educated at Eton, where fencing and the use of firearms are part of the extracurricular activities. As he matures, he becomes most attractive to the aristocratic ladies with whom he mingles. A duel with an irate husband results. He triumphs, but must flee because of his adversary’s prominent position. He returns to America, becomes a fencing master in pre-Civil War New Orleans and gains a beautiful Creole paramour. War is declared. He becomes a scout for the Confederacy and with war’s end, becomes the guiding hand for local law enforcement in the chaotic post-Civil War Reconstruction Era. Through these times, the relationship between William and his paramour, Ninon, gradually becomes one of far greater depth. Eventually, tired of the constant involvement in strife, and dejected by the inter-racial problems that seem only to escalate, he again finds the need for change if he expects to find a happy conclusion to his unusual life.
