When Charles Wentworth, recently widowed, has a second chance at love, his son, Kirk, sees trouble on the horizon. Kirk has planned his life around getting an inheritance one day, and will do whatever it takes to protect it. As Michael grapples with what he has learned and goes looking for answers, his mother, Alice, is determined to keep the past out of her present life.
