When Atsuhisa Okura isn't drawing manga, he's growing vegetables. Armed with a university degree in agriculture, he gained considerable fame as a contestant on TV Tokyo's Terebi Champion (think American Idol for gardeners. Alas, he was a runner-up, and decided to turn his attention full-time to drawing comics. His stories have appeared in Business Jump and Shonen Magazine, and he was the illustrator of the award-winning Manga Conquers America article that appeared in the November 2077 issue of WIRED magazine. In addition to the Moe USA series, he illustrated Manga University's 50 Things We Love About Japan.
