Say for example the child chooses a dragon to accompany him on his journey, this may mean that they are seeking protection and encouragement to overcome their fears, as the dragon represents protection, strength, courage and mystery. It's an extremely helpful and insightful tool for both the child and parent. It offers the adult a unique way to understand what the child is going through and how best to aid them.
