The year is 2717. Technology has changed and become much more advanced. People haven’t changed much and still don’t understand things that are different. People with special abilities are starting to surface and the people who don’t have these abilities are scared out of their minds. Then there are the people who want to use these special people for their own personal gain and illegally experiment on them.
Logan Smyth, who has been locked up in a facility and experimented on for ten years, finally escapes due to the help of her younger sister. She was forced to leave her sister in that horrid place but vowed to go back for her. Six months past and Logan is desperately trying to find a Captain that will let her ride on their ship, but has no luck until she is forced to take unconventional means to get on Oblivion, the last ship that was preparing to leave. Once on she fights with one of the crew members before effectively taking him down and demanding for the captain. Things seem to turn up for her as the captain accepts her money and she finds out that the ship’s main destination was Trinity. Trinity is a planet that is hi-tech and houses White’s Pharmaceuticals and White’s Facility. The same facility her sister is being held at.
Now on the right track to getting her sister back, Logan thinks she will be able to rest easy until they get there, but she is in for rude awakening. Join Logan and the crew as they fight for their lives, put their lives in danger for others, and come face to face with an enemy that is more dangerous than they could ever imagine.
Excerpt:
There was a deep chuckle. Logan’s eyes snapped up and connected with Elias’s silver ones. Her eyes widened and her face got hot. Shit, he caught me staring…again, she thought. She mentally hit her head. Stupid eyes. Stupid thoughts. She squeezed her eyes shut and opened them to see Elias smirking at her. She put her hands over her face and peeked at him through her fingers. "Sorry,” she squeaked out. She was completely mortified. Why did he have to be so goddamn hot?
He threw his towel back on the metal bench. He walked over to her and pulled her hands away from her face, "For what? Staring?” Her face got hotter and his smirk widened before he replaced it with a serious look. "Don’t be,” he said, "you can stare all you want.”
Her eyes widened and her breath caught in her throat. Her mouth parted as she stared up into his eyes. There was a heated look in his eyes and all she could do was stare back. Her heart stuttered a few times and she could feel a warm felling settling in the pit of her stomach. He leaned in closer, "It’s only fair. Don’t you think? Since I stare at you more than I should.” His voice sounded rougher and deeper and she could feel her body temperature rising. Yep, the guy was too sexy for his own good.
His voice became normal as he took a few steps back and the heated look disappeared. "Did you need something?” he asked as the smirk returned to his lips. Logan blinked a few times as the moment shattered. What the…that bastard! That asshole had gotten her all hot and bothered and then backed away as if it never happened. He was a cruel man, a really cruel man.
