He is stalked and mistaken for an FBI agent, and in the serenity of this South Pacific paradise, he is kidnapped, the first in a series of treacherous events that the wayward teacher may not survive.

Michael R. Häack teaches at a private school in central California. He enjoys mountain climbing, backpacking, and cross-country bicycling. He is also the author of two other novels, Sanitarium and The Navy, and is currently working on his next novel and a collection of short stories.
