Nick Poulton spent years dreaming about writing a book before finally doing it. He has published a number of short stories but Podwitch is his debut novel and forms the first part of the 'Guardian Trilogy'. He cites his main influences as Alan Garner, Susan Cooper, Philip Pullman and Neil Gaiman, who he believes have all reached the pinnacle of writing about overlapping worlds. Nick lives with his wife and son in Oxfordshire.
