This book was the culmination of a long-standing interest in postcards and Marion County, as well as a deep kinship with its people.

One of Marion County's own, author Billyfrank Morrison has collected postcards for 30 years. His interest in Marion County led to two years of research and the composition of this book. As an independent historic researcher, he has written three books published in the Postcard History Series.
