Autoren-Porträt von Carmen Botman, Vanessa Wright, Linzé Brandon, Natalie Rivener, Richard T Wheeler
Linzé Brandon is the pen name of a South African project manager who taught herself to read before she went to school. This started a lifelong love affair with books. She still loves to read - anything considered romance - but also enjoys amateur sleuth and extreme science fiction books. When she is not working or writing, she likes to do cross stitch embroidery, fly fishing, painting abstracts in mixed media, archery and watching Manchester United play. She is captain of a team of soccer enthusiasts on Superbru, and love the interplay with the guys during the season.
Her favourite time of year is NaNoWriMo, simply because she loves the challenge and the camaraderie of her fellow local and online Wrimos.
I am a 50 year old visual artist, author, mom and pug breeder. Two of my Afrikaans short stories have been published in My kort vir jou sop available on www.amazon.com as an e-book and soon to be released in soft cover. I have taken part in Nanowromo 2012 and reached the target on day 26. I have my own blog at http://iread1966.wordpress.com, appropriately named Humouring the dark, where I have a few followers. I am also active on Facebook and Twitter and am a member of a writing group. I lead my own book club as well- I am a true bookaholic. Writing has always been my passion, however the timing always seemed incorrect as daily life interrupted more frequently than not. Now, I have decided to go big or go home.
I have a degree in a field in which I have lost almost all interest, but I still do it part-time to pay the bills. I am the wife to an amazing husband and mother to an equally amazing little boy, as well as two labradors. If I had my way, I'd give up the career that I studied for and be a full-time writer. Of course, there remains the niggly problem of bills... Anyhow, I grew up hooked on books in general, with Roald Dahl and Agatha Christie being my favourites in my younger years. I am a huge Douglas Adams fan, and of any other well-written,

sucks-you-right-in reads. If it's slightly odd, chances are I'll like it. I am a proud supporter of local Indie authors!
Having spent her university years up to her ears in the local gaming society, Natalie was ruined for a normal life. The world of fantasy and science fiction had a hold on her that would never let go.
She spent a few soul-crushing years simply not fitting into the mould and finally realised that she wanted nothing more than to create stories like those that had made a life of being undeniably different something to enjoy and aspire to rather than being ashamed of it.
Her time is now filled with her three greatest passions: her family, writing and art.
Richard T Wheeler is the co-author of the Sanguinem Emere mythology and author of A Girl Called Storm in the STORM Anthology. His first co-authored novel, Sanguinem Emere: Bought in Blood was published on Amazon in an attempt to save the reclusive and endangered Lesser Spotted Old School Vampire. It is an ongoing conservation project.
Born in Pretoria, South Africa, he farms stories and crippling self-doubt from wherever he can make a laptop and wine spend time in the same room with him. That is if and when he can pry himself away from the novels by Jim Butcher, Sergei Lukyanenko and Terry Pratchett. He considers borderline alcoholism as part and parcel of the writer’s job description and is starting to understand why Ingrid Jonker walked into the sea
