Woven into this story is the investigation, twenty-five years later, of a skeleton found under the foundations of a burned out science building at the Nave School in Gloucester. The investigation leads to the untangling of the wartime story, and a kind of resolution, if not exactly a happy ending.
Keith Francis has a master’s degree from Cambridge University. He worked as an engineer in the guided weapons department at Bristol Aircraft before joining the teaching profession and settling in New York City. His publications include Death at the Nave, The Education of a Waldorf Teacher and Rudolf Steiner and the Atom. He is married, with two children, and divides his time between New York City and the Southern Berkshires of Massachusetts.
