Dr Guozhong Cao is Boeing-Steiner Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Professor of Chemical Engineering, and Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He received his PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands), MS from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics and BS from East China University of Science and Technology (China). He has published over 500 research papers and authored and edited 8 books, and is one of the Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers. His current research is focused mainly on nanomaterials for solar cells, rechargeable batteries, and supercapacitors as well as actuators and sensors.

Dr Ying (Jane) Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Louisiana State University. Before joining LSU in 2008, Dr. Wang was a postdoc fellow in Materials Science at Northwestern University from 2006 to 2008. She received her Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Washington in 2006, M.A. in Chemistry from Harvard University, and a B.S. degree in Chemical Physics from University of Science and Technology of China. Dr. Wang's research focuses on nanomaterials synthesis for energy and environmental applications such as lithium-ion batteries, solar cells, and photocatalysis, which has resulted in 59 journal articles.
