General aim of the book: several books are written about the South Sudan, most of them described South-Northern Sudan political relations. This book aims to add a reference of history and geography of the land and people of Akobo and the contact with the surrounding regions, and its roles in emerging of the South Sudan Republic. The book introduces different theories about the people form the current populations, and how did they reach the area. And it discusses the internal migrations, inter-tribal conflicts and the role of British in Akobo citizenship.

Mading, SamuelRev. Samuel Jock Bany Mading was born in Dik-Mareng cattle camp rural of Akobo in June1967. Under and post graduates degree received in theology in Lebanon and Jordan, and (MA. Ed. Mgt.) from KIU in Uganda. PhD in Religion and Peace Studies, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
