Produktinformationen zu „Atlas of Robotic Urologic Surgery “
The Atlas of Robotic Urologic Surgery provides a detailed, step-by-step guide to common robotic urologic procedures for the purpose of helping novice surgeons in their transition to robotic surgery and seasoned robotic surgeons to refine their surgical technique and expand their repertoire of robotic procedures. In addition, less commonly performed robotic procedures such as those for male infertility, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary tract reconstruction and pediatrics are included. Each chapter is written by the thought leaders in robotic urologic surgery with descriptive step-by-step text, complimented by figures and intraoperative photographs detailing the nuances of each procedure. Emphasis is placed on operative setup, instrument and equipment needs and surgical techniques for both the primary surgeon as well as the operative assistant. The use of ancillary equipment and robotic instrument and endoscope exchanges are highlighted throughout the procedural text by tables designed to aid surgeons and their teams in improving efficiency. This volume will provide unique insights into robotic urologic surgery and reduce the learning curve of accomplishing these increasingly popular procedures.

The Atlas of Robotic Urologic Surgery provides a unique set of operative steps including figures, intraoperative pictures, and accompanying video that will aid the "beginner" at overcoming the learning curve and accomplishing these complex minimally invasive techniques. This unique technique-specific surgical atlas is unlike Vip Patel's which is more basic in its description of technique and also more comprehensive in its scope in covering things outside of technique like complications and results.

Rezension zu „Atlas of Robotic Urologic Surgery “
From the reviews:"It is designed as a detailed, step-by-step guide to the most relevant robotic procedures in contemporary practice. ... The book is suitable for a broad spectrum of urologists, both novices and experts. ... the book is also a valuable resource for pediatric urologists. ... This practical book is well written and incorporates excellent tables, diagrams, and intraoperative images. It is an exceptional overview of the most relevant robotic urological procedures, while highlighting emerging applications." (Kelly A. Healy, Doody's Review Service, November, 2011)
"This is a great sized book, small enough to hold and read comfortably and yet with 286 pages, big enough to be comprehensive in its outlook. ... Each chapter adopts both a text and list format ... and as such will be as valuable to theatre staff as to surgeons. Each chapter is richly illustrated and it is this aspect above all which stands out as this book's great achievement. The clinical images are outstanding! ... I enjoyed this book ... ." (Ian Pearce, Urology News, January-February, 2012)
