Produktinformationen zu „Coal to Diamonds “
Beth Ditto grew up in rural Arkansas, poor, undereducated, and overweight, and improbably emerged from this bleak upbringing to become an international superstar at the forefront of punk rock's second coming as the lead singer of the band Gossip. A style icon who has graced the covers of numerous fashion magazines and a lesbian icon whose outspokenness and lifestyle has won her undying admiration from influential friends and fans alike, Ditto, for the first time, tells the story of how she became who she was meant to be. With a refreshing sense of humor and wisdom well beyond her years, she recounts how her extraordinary childhood gave her the tools to become the voice of a generation with the boldness to rewrite the rules of self-image and social acceptance.
